Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing

LoveIs a many splendored thingIt's the April roseThat only growsIn the early springLoveIs nature's way of givingA reason to be livingThe golden crownThat makes a man a king

Once on a highAnd windy hillIn the morning mistTwo lovers kissedAnd the world stood stillThen your fingers touchedMy silent heartAnd taught it how to singYes, true love's
A many splendored thing

Once on a highAnd windy hillIn the morning mistTwo lovers kissedAnd the world stood stillThen your fingers touchedMy silent heartAnd taught it how to singYes, true love'sA many splendored thing

South of the Border (Down Mexico Way)

South of the border, down Mexico way
That's where I fell in love where stars above, came out to play
And now as I wonder, my thoughts ever stray
South of the border, down Mexico way

She was a picture, in old spanish ways
Just for a tender while I kissed the smile, upon her face
For it was fiesta, and love had it's day
South of the border, down Mexico way

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay (Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay)
Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay (Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay)

Then she sighed as she whispered mañana,
never dreaming that we were parting
And I lied as I whispered mañana,
for our tomorrow never came

South of the border, I rode back one day
There in a veil of white by candlelight, she kneeled to pray
The mission bells told me, that I shouldn't stay
South of the border, down Mexico way

Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay (Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay)
Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay (Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay)
Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay (Ay, Ay, Ay, Ay)
Good bye, good bye

I Wanna Be Around

I want to be around to pick up the piecesWhen somebody breaks your heartSome somebody twice as smart as I

A somebody who will swear to be trueAs you used to do with meWho'll leave you to learnThat misery loves company, wait and see

I mean, I want to be around to see how he does itWhen he breaks your heart to bitsLet's see if the puzzle fits so fine

And that's when I'll discover that revenge is sweetAs I sit there applauding from a front-row seatWhen somebody breaks your heartLike you, like you broke mine

That's Life

That's life (that's life)That's what all the people sayYou're riding high in April, shot down in MayBut I know I'm gonna change that tuneWhen I'm back on top, back on top in June

I said that's life (that's life)And as funny as it may seemSome people get their kicksStomping on a dreamBut I don't let it, let it get me downCause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poetA pawn and a kingI've been up and down and over and outAnd I know one thingEach time I find myselfFlat on my faceI pick myself up and getBack in the race

That's life (that's life)I tell you, I can't deny itI thought of quitting, babyBut my heart just ain't gonna buy itAnd if I didn't think it was worth one single tryI'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poetA pawn and a kingI've been up and down and over and outAnd I know one thingEach time I find myself layin'Flat on my faceI just pick myself up and getBack in the race

That's life (that's life)That's life and I can't deny itMany times I thought of cutting out, but my heart won't buy itBut if there's nothing shaking, come this here JulyI'm gonna roll myself upIn a big ball and die

My, my

The Way You Look Tonight

Some day, when I'm awfully lowWhen the world is coldI will feel a glow just thinking of youAnd the way you look tonight

Yes, you're lovely, with your smile so warmAnd your cheeks so softThere is nothing for me, but to love youAnd the way you look tonight

With each word, your tenderness growsTearing my fears apartHow that laugh wrinkles your noseIt touches my foolish heart

Lovely, never ever changeKeep that breathless charmWon't you please arrange it? 'Cause I love youJust the way you look tonight

With each word, your tenderness growsTearing my fears apartAnd that laugh, it wrinkles your noseIt touches my foolish heart

Lovely, don't you ever changeKeep that breathless charmWon't you please arrange it? 'Cause I love youJust the way you look tonight

Just the way you look tonightTonight

How Do You Keep The Music Playing

How do you keep the music playing?
How do you make it last?
How do you keep the song from fading
Too fast?

How do you lose yourself to someone
And never lose your way?
How do you not run out of new things
To say?

And since you know we're always changing
How can it be the same?

And tell me how year after year
You're sure your heart won't fall apart
Each time you hear, you hear his name?

I know the way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

I know, way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever
Forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it goes
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

Night and Day

Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon, under the sun
Whether near to me or far
It's no matter darling, where you are
I think of you night and day

Day and night, why's it so
That this longing for you, follows wherever I go
In the roaring traffics boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you night and day

Night and day, under he hide of me
There's an old, such a hungry yearning, burning inside of me
And this torment won't be through
Till you let me spend my life making love to you
Day and night, night and day

Night and day, under he hide of me
There's an old, such a hungry yearning, burning inside of me
And this torment won't be through
Till you let me spend my life making love to you
Day and night, night and day

Mind If I Make Love to You

In the heavens stars are dancing
And the mounting moon is new
What a rare night for romancing
Mind if I make love to you

Since the dear day of our meeting
I've wanted to tell you all I long to do
Dawn is nearing time is fleeting
Mind if I make love to you

If you'll let me I'll endeavor
To persuade you I'm your party for two
And from then on you will never mind
If I make love to you

Baby if you let me
I'm going to endeavor
To persuade you I'm your party for two
And from then on you will never mind
If I make love to you
And from then on you will never mind
If I make love to you

Both Sides Now

Bows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
Feather cannons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way

Now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way

I've looked at clouds from both sides now

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's clouds illusions i recall
I really don't know clouds at all

Moons and junes and ferris wheels
The dizzy, dancing way you feel
When every fairy tale comes true
I've looked at love that way

But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care don't let them know
Don't give yourself away

I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take and still somehow
It's loves illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all

Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say I love you right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way

But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads
They say I've changed
Well somethings lost and somethings gained in living every day

I've looked at life from both sides now

I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and loose and still somehow
It's lifes illusions I recall
I really don't know life

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's clouds illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all

I really don't know life at all

Get Happy

Forget your troubles
Come on get happy
You better chase all your cares away
Sing hallelujah
Come on get happy
Get ready for the judgement day

The sun is shining
Come on get happy
The Lord is waiting to take your hand
Shout hallelujah
Come on get happy
We're going to the promise land

We're heading across the river
Wash your sins away in the tide
It's all so peaceful on the other side

Forget your troubles
Come on get happy
You better chase all you cares away
Shout hallelujah
Come on get happy
Get ready for the judgement day

Forget your troubles
Come on get happy
Chase your cares away
Hallelujah get happy
Before the judgement day

The sun is shining
Come on get happy
The Lord is waiting to take your hand
Shout hallelujah
Get happy
We're gonna be going to the promise land

We're heading across the river
Wash your sins away in the tide
It's only quiet and peaceful on the other side

Forget your troubles
Get happy
Your cares fly away
Shout hallelujah
Get happy
Get ready for your judgement day

Come on get happy
Chase your cares away
Shout hallelujah
Get happy
Get ready for the judgement day

The sun is shining
Come on get happy
The Lord is waiting to take your hand
Sing hallelujah
Come on get happy
We're going to the promise land

We're heading across the river
Wash your sins away in the tide
It's all so peaceful on the other side

Shout hallelujah
Come on get happy
You better chase all your cares away
Shout hallelujah
Come on get happy
Get ready
Get ready
Get ready
Get ready
For the judgement day
