That's Life

That's life (that's life)That's what all the people sayYou're riding high in April, shot down in MayBut I know I'm gonna change that tuneWhen I'm back on top, back on top in June

I said that's life (that's life)And as funny as it may seemSome people get their kicksStomping on a dreamBut I don't let it, let it get me downCause this fine old world, it keeps spinnin' around

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poetA pawn and a kingI've been up and down and over and outAnd I know one thingEach time I find myselfFlat on my faceI pick myself up and getBack in the race

That's life (that's life)I tell you, I can't deny itI thought of quitting, babyBut my heart just ain't gonna buy itAnd if I didn't think it was worth one single tryI'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate, a poetA pawn and a kingI've been up and down and over and outAnd I know one thingEach time I find myself layin'Flat on my faceI just pick myself up and getBack in the race

That's life (that's life)That's life and I can't deny itMany times I thought of cutting out, but my heart won't buy itBut if there's nothing shaking, come this here JulyI'm gonna roll myself upIn a big ball and die

My, my

Ti odio, poi ti amo, poi ti amoPoi ti odio, poi ti amoNon lasciarmi mai piùSei grande, grande, grandeCome te, sei grande solamente tu

Ti odio, poi ti amo, poi ti amoPoi ti odio, poi ti amoNon lasciarmi mai piùSei grande, grande, grandeCome te sei grande solamente tu

Non lasciarmi mai piùSei grande, grande, grandeCome te sei grande solamente tu

Maybe I didn't treat you,Quite as good as I should haveMaybe I didn't love you,Quite as often as I should haveLittle things, I should have said and done,I just never took the time...

You were always on my mind,You were always on my mind

Maybe I didn't hold you,All those lonely lonely timesAnd I guess I never told you,I'm so happy that your mineIf I made you feel second best,Well I'm sorry I was blind

You were always on my mind,You were always on my mind

Tell me, Tell me that your sweet love hasn't diedGive me, give me one more chanceTo keep you satisfied, satisfied

Little things I should have said and done,I just never took the timeYou were always on my mind,
You were always on my mind...

You were always on my mind

Killing Me Softly With His Song

Strumming my pain with his fingersSinging my life with his wordsKilling me softly with his songKilling me softly with his songTelling my whole life with his wordsKilling me softly with his song

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a styleAnd so I came to see him, and listen for a whileAnd there he was, this young boy, stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingersSinging my life with his wordsKilling me softly with his songKilling me softly with his songTelling my whole life with his wordsKilling me softly with his song

I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowdI felt he'd found my letters and read each one out loudI prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingersSinging my life with his wordsKilling me softly with his songKilling me softly with his songTelling my whole life with his wordsKilling me softly with his song

He sang as if he knew me, In all my dark despair
And then he looked right through me As if I wasn't there
And he just kept on singing Singing clear and strong

Strumming my pain with his fingersSinging my life with his wordsKilling me softly with his songKilling me softly with his songTelling my whole life with his wordsKilling me softly with his song

Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
La-la-la, la, la, la
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
La-ah-ah-ah-ah
La-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me (softly)

He was strumming my pain
Yeah, he was singing my life
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

How Do You Keep The Music Playing

How do you keep the music playing?
How do you make it last?
How do you keep the song from fading
Too fast?

How do you lose yourself to someone
And never lose your way?
How do you not run out of new things
To say?

And since you know we're always changing
How can it be the same?

And tell me how year after year
You're sure your heart won't fall apart
Each time you hear, you hear his name?

I know the way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

I know, way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever
Forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it goes
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

I've Got You Under My Skin

I've got you under my skin
I've got you, deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin

I'd tried so, not to give in
I said to myself this affair never will go so well
But why should I try to resist when baby I know so well
I've got you under my skin

I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear

Don't you know, little fool
You never can win
Use your mentality
Wake up to reality
But each time that I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop before I begin
'Cause I've got you under my skin

I would sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats how it yells in my ear

Don't you know, little fool
You never can win
Why not use your mentality
Step up, wake up to reality
But each time I do just the thought of you
Makes me stop just before I begin
'Cause I've got you under my skin
Yes, I've got you under my skin
