How Do You Keep The Music Playing es una maravillosa canción compuesta por el compositor y pianista de jazz francés Michel Legrand con letra de los letristas y compositores estadounidenses Alan y Marilyn Bergman para la película de 1982 Best Friend, donde fue presentada por el cantante estadounidense James Ingram junto a la también cantante estadounidense Patti Austin, cuya versión se lanzó como sencillo en 1983. El tema fue nominado al Premio de la Academia a la Mejor Canción Original en los 55 años Premios de la Academia.

A lo largo de los años ha tenido numerosas versiones de grandes artistas como la de Andy Williams en 1986, la de 1991 de Shirley Bassey, la de Barbra Streisand en 2003, la de 2013 de Celine Dion o la que en 1944 realizó Frank Sinatra en solitario, aunque diez años más tarde dentro de su álbum Duets II hizo una nueva versión, esta vez junto a la cantante de música country Lorrie Morgan.
