A Song for You

I've been so many places in my life and timeI've sung a lot of songsI've made some bad rhymesI've acted out my life in stagesWith ten thousand people watching

But we're alone nowAnd I'm singing this song to you

I know your image of meIs what I hoped to beI treated you unkindlyBut darling, can't you see? There's no one more important to meTo darling, can't you please see through me?

'Cause we're alone nowAnd I'm singing this song to you

Me taught me precious secretsOf a true love withholding nothingYou came out in front when I was hidingNow I'm so much betterAnd if my words don't come togetherTo Listen to the melodyFor my love is in there hiding

I love you in a placeWhere there's no space or timeI love you for my lifeYou're a friend of mineAnd when my life is overRemember when we were together

We were aloneAnd I was singing this song to you

Me taught me precious secretsOf a true love withholding nothingYou came out in front when I was hidingNow I'm so much betterAnd if my words don't come togetherTo Listen to the melodyFor my love is in there hiding

I love you in a placeWhere there's no space or timeI love you for my lifeYou're a friend of mineAnd when my life is overRemember when we were together

We were aloneAnd I was singing my song to youWe were aloneAnd I was singing my song to you

My Sweet Lord

How Do You Keep The Music Playing

How do you keep the music playing?
How do you make it last?
How do you keep the song from fading
Too fast?

How do you lose yourself to someone
And never lose your way?
How do you not run out of new things
To say?

And since you know we're always changing
How can it be the same?

And tell me how year after year
You're sure your heart won't fall apart
Each time you hear, you hear his name?

I know the way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love, the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

I know, way I feel for you is now or never
The more I love the more that I'm afraid
That in your eyes I may not see forever
Forever

If we can be the best of lovers
Yet be the best of friends
If we can try with every day to make it better as it goes
With any luck than I suppose
The music never ends

Both Sides Now

Bows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
Feather cannons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way

Now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way

I've looked at clouds from both sides now

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's clouds illusions i recall
I really don't know clouds at all

Moons and junes and ferris wheels
The dizzy, dancing way you feel
When every fairy tale comes true
I've looked at love that way

But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care don't let them know
Don't give yourself away

I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take and still somehow
It's loves illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all

Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say I love you right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way

But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads
They say I've changed
Well somethings lost and somethings gained in living every day

I've looked at life from both sides now

I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and loose and still somehow
It's lifes illusions I recall
I really don't know life

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's clouds illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all

I really don't know life at all
