I Wanna Be Around

I Wanna Be Around es una grandísima canción, una de esas joyas musicales que encapsulan el genio de una época dorada del jazz y el pop. Compuesta por Sadie Vimmerstedt y Johnny Mercer, fue popularizada por Tony Bennett en 1963, siendo su versión la primera en llegar a las listas musicales.

Musicalmente es una pieza magistral en su composición, con un elegante arreglo y un fabuloso acompañamiento orquestal que realza la voz de Bennett sin eclipsarla.

El tema ha perdurado a lo largo del tiempo, siendo incluida en bandas sonoras de películas, además de realizarse nuevas versiones, como la que el propio Bennett realizó junto con Bono que apareció dentro del álbum del primero, en 2006 y que llevó por título Duets: An American Classic.

Ha tenido más versiones a lo largo de los años, como las realizadas por Aretha Franklin, Bobby Darin, Brenda Lee, Dinah Washington, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé o en este 2024, la estupenda versión realizada por Matt Dusk junto a The Lou Pomanti Orchestra.

The Way You Look Tonight es una canción compuesta por la letrista estadounidense Dorothy Fields y el compositor estadounidense Jerome Kern en 1936 para la película Swing Time, donde era interpretada por el actor, cantante, coreógrafo y bailarín estadounidense Fred Astaire y que ganó el premio Oscar a la Mejor Canción Original ese año.

La canción ha perdurado a lo largo del tiempo y ha sido versionada por numerosos artistas a lo largo de los años como Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Billie Holiday, Michael Bublé o la que hace en el 2023 el cantante canadiense Matt Dusk.

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland es una canción escrita en 1934 por Felix Bernard y Richard Bernhard Smith, que fue grabada originalmente por Richard Himber y desde entonces ha sido versionada por más de 200 artistas alrededor del mundo.

Se suele interpretar como una canción navideña aunque realmente no es un tema escrito como tal, ya que habla de una historia de amor de una pareja durante el invierno, pero una versión realizada posteriormente en 1974 con una nueva letra para niños en la que se hablaba de jugar en la nieve hizo que se convirtiese en una de las canciones más cantadas en las Navidades.

En 1934 el artista canadiense Guy Lombardo hizo una versión que se convirtió en uno de los mayores éxitos de ese año.

Entre las versiones más conocidas están las que hicieron artistas como Ella  Fitzgerald, Tony Bennet, Perry Como, Eurythmics y la que en 2022 hizo el cantante californiano Chris Isaak para su álbum Everybody Knows It´s Christmas.

Moves Like Jagger es una canción de la banda estadounidense Maroon 5 que cuenta con la colaboración de la cantante estadounidense Christina Aguilera y que pertenece al tercer álbum de estudio de los chicos de Maroon 5 lanzado en 2011 y que llevó por título Hands All Over. El tema está compuesto por el líder de la banda Adam Levine, junto a Ammar Malik, Benjamin Levin y Shellback, fue lanzado como cuarto sencillo del álbum y llegó al número 1 en las listas musicales de diferentes países a lo largo del mundo, consiguiendo vender más de 7 millones de descargas musicales, convirtiéndose en la novena canción más descargada de ese año.

Recibió una nominación al premio Grammy en la categoría de Mejor Interpretación de Pop de dúo/grupo, pero perdió ante Body & Soul de Tony Bennett y Amy Winehouse.
