One es una canción de la banda irlandesa U2 que forma parte de su álbum de 1991 que llevó por título Achtung Baby y está considerada por la revista Rolling Stone como una de las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos.

Según palabras del propio Bono, líder de la banda, el tema resume una visión escéptica sobre la ilusión de la unidad y la hermandad en el mundo, pero posteriormente, con el paso de los años, la banda la utiliza con un mensaje más positivo promocionando actos sobre los Derechos Humanos y reafirmando la posibilidad de una unidad entre pueblos y naciones.

La canción ha tenido diversas versiones, como la que el propio Bono realiza junto a la cantante estadounidense Mary J. Blige, o la que hace con Damien Rice.

En 2001 el cantante estadounidense Johnny Cash hace una versión para su álbum American III: Solitary Man.

Summer Wine es una canción del cantante y compositor estadounidense Lee Hazlewood en 1966 y que fue interpretada por primera vez por el propio Lee junto a Suzi Jane Hokom pero que se hizo popular al año siguiente de la mano de Lee, pero en esta ocasión junto a la cantante estadounidense Nancy Sinatra, convirtiéndose en todo un éxito.

El tema ha tenido a lo largo de los años varias versiones, entre las que se encuentran las de Demis Roussos, la de Lana del Rey junto a Barrie-James O´Neill, la de Conchita  Wurst o la que hicieron en 2002 la banda irlandesa The Corrs junto a Bono, vocalista de U2 para el álbum de los hermanos Corrs que llevó por título VH1 Presents: The Corrs, Live in Dublin.

All Along The Watchtower es una canción escrita por el cantante estadounidense Bob Dylan y que pertenece a su álbum de 1967 que llevó por título John Wesley Harding, siendo el tema que más veces ha tocado en directo... en 2018 lo había hecho en más de 2.200 ocasiones. El tema lo ha lanzado en 4 versiones diferentes en vivo dentro de los álbumes Before the Flood de 1974, en el de Bob Dylan at Budokan de 1978, en el de Dylan & The Dead de 1989 y en el de MTV Unplugged de 1995.

A lo largo de los años ha tenido numerosas versiones, pero una de las más conocidas y aclamadas es la que 6 meses después de publicarse el tema original, realizó el guitarrista y cantante estadounidense Jimi Hendrix para su álbum Electric Ladyland.

Otras de algunas de la versiones más conocidas son las que en su momento hicieron U2, la que hizo Neil Young en un concierto homenaje a Dylan y en 2021 el dúo estadounidense Striking Matches hace una particular y preciosa versión del tema de Dylan.

Night and Day es posiblemente una de las canciones más populares del compositor estadounidense Cole Porter, que la compuso en 1932 para el musical Gay Divorce.

Ha sido interpretada por numerosos artistas, pero fue el cantante, bailarín y coreógrafo estadounidense Fred Astaire quien la presentó por vez primera en el escenario y la grabación que hizo de ella junto a la orquesta de Leo Reisman fue un autentico éxito, encabezando las listas musicales durante diez semanas en Estados Unidos. La volvió a interpretar en 1934 siendo una de las canciones más emblemáticas del artista americano.

Otra de las grandes versiones vino de la mano del gran Frank Sinatra, que la grabó al menos cinco veces a lo largo de su carrera, pero también han hecho estupendas versiones Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Ringo Starr, U2, Stan Getz, Willie Nelson, Charlie Parker y la maravillosa Diana Krall que la incluyó en su álbum de 2017 que llevó por título Turn Up The Quiet y que con su voz nos hace sentir que el jazz y la buena música siguen vivas.

Unchained Melody es una maravillosa canción compuesta por Alex North en 1955 y escrita por Hy Zaret para la película Unchained, interpretada por Todd Duncan.

La canción fue nominada al Óscar a la Mejor Canción y se hizo tan popular que en una semana se grabaron 4 versiones diferentes entrando todas en el Top 30 de las listas británicas. El tema es una de las canciones más versionadas de la historia de la música (hay más de 500 versiones registradas) y una de las más populares la realizó en 1977 Elvis Presley durante su último concierto.

En 1965 The Righteous Brothers lanzó su versión que alcanzó una gran popularidad cuando se utilizó como tema principal de la banda sonora de la película de 1990 Ghost.

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) es un tema escrito por la cantante y compositora estadounidense Ellie Greenwich junto al también compositor y cantante estadounidense Jeff Barry y el productor Phil Spector, que fue interpretado por vez primera en 1963 por la cantante norteamericana Darlene Love, que aunque en un primer momento no consiguió mucha popularidad, con el tiempo consiguió lograr un gran éxito y está considerada como una de las mejores canciones navideñas de rock and roll según la revista Rolling Stone.
