Under the Broadwalk es una canción escrita por Kenny Young y Arthur Resnick y grabada en 1964 por el grupo vocal estadounidense The Drifters. La canción entro al nº 4 de la lista Billboard Hot 100 ese mismo año y a lo largo del tiempo ha tenido muchísimas versiones de artistas como Bette Midler, Sam & Dave, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, John Mellencamp y Lynn Anderson, entre otros.
El tema estaba previsto que se grabase el 21 de mayo de 1964, pero el cantante principal de la banda, Rudy Lewis, quien sustituyó en 1960 a Ben E. King tras su marcha del grupo, murió la noche anterior. En lugar de posponer la grabación del tema para otro momento, se le dio la oportunidad de interpretar como voz principal a otro de los miembros de la banda, a Johnny Moore que había regresado a la banda en abril de ese mismo año.
Ese mismo 1964, The Rolling Stones realizó una versión de la canción original que se lanzó solamente en Australia, Sudáfrica y Rhodesia llegando a las primeras posiciones con el tema e incluyéndose en dos álbumes de la banda que llevaron por título 12x5 y The Rolling Stones No. 2. En 2007 apareció dentro del álbum Rhythms del Mundo: Classics.
