Reet Petite

Reet Petite es una canción escrita en 1957 por Berry Gordy, Gwen Gordy Fuqua y Roquel "Billy" Davis (aunque aparece en los créditos del disco bajo el seudónimo de Tyran Carlo), producida por Dick Jacobs e interpretada y popularizada por el cantante afroamericano Jackie Wilson. La canción fue la primera del cantante después de dejar The Dominoes, llegó a las primeras posiciones en distintas listas musicales noerteamericanas y ha conseguido ser una de las canciones más conocida de Wilson. La canción, convertida en un clásico del rock y el soul, mantienen vive su esencia, su energía y su frescura y hoy en día y sigue sonando totalmente actual. En 1987 la canción fue reeditada con motivo del fallecimiento de Wilson y vino acompañada de un vídeo en el que aparecían figuras de plastilina interpretando el tema, consiguiendo un gran éxito a nivel internacional, llegando al Nº 1 en el Reino Unido y dando a conocer a las nuevas generaciones este gran tema y a este gran artista.
