A Whiter Shade of Pale

A Whiter Shade of Pale es una canción de la banda de rock británica Procol Harum escrita y compuesta por Gary Brooker, Keith Reid y Matthew Fisher, lanzada como sencillo en 1967 y que obtuvo un gran éxito, estando durante varias semanas entre las canciones más escuchadas de las listas musicales del Reino Unido.

El tema, inspirado en Johann Sebastian Bach, se ha convertido en un clásico y desde su publicación ha vendido más de 10 millones de copias.

A los largo de los años ha tenido numerosas versiones y una de las mejores que he escuchado es sin duda la que hace la cantante escocesa Annie Lennox para su álbum de 1995 que llevó por título Medusa.

Si la canción ya de por si es maravillosa, en su voz se hace más hermosa si cabe.
