Guiding Light

Well the road is wideAnd waters run on either sideAnd my shadow went with fading lightStretching out towards the night

'Cause the sun is lowAnd I yet have still so far to goMy lonely heart is beating soTired of the wonder

There's a sign aheadThough I think it's the same one againSo I'm thinking 'bout my only friendSo o I find my way home

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

Oh, well the air is coldAnd yonder lies my sleeping soulBy the branches broke like bonesWell, this weakened tree no longer holds

Well, the night is stillAnd I have not yet lost my willOh and I will keep on moving 'till'Till I find my way home

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

So lead me on, and leave me strongLike the road I walk on

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

When I need to get homeYou're my guiding lightYou're my guiding light

Sad Songs (Say So Much)

Guess there are times when we all need to share a little painAnd ironing out the rough spotsIs the hardest part when memories remainAnd it's times like these when we all need to hear the radio'Cause from the lips of some old singerWe can share the troubles we already know

Turn 'em on, turn 'em onTurn on those sad songsWhen all hope is goneWhy don't you tune in and turn them on

They reach into your room, oh oh ohJust feel their gentle touch (gentle touch)When all hope is goneSad songs say so much

If someone else is suffering enough oh to write it downWhen every single word makes senseThen it's easier to have those songs aroundThe kick inside is in the line that finally gets to youAnd it feels so good to hurt so badAnd suffer just enough to sing the blues

So turn 'em on, turn 'em onTurn on those sad songsWhen all hope is goneWhy don't you tune in and turn them on

They reach into your room, oh oh ohJust feel their gentle touch (gentle touch)When all hope is goneYou know sad songs say so much

Sad songs, they saySad songs, they saySad songs, they saySad songs, they say so much

So, turn 'em on, (turn 'em on), turn 'em on, (turn 'em on)Turn on those sad songsWhen all hope is goneWhy don't you tune in and turn them on

They reach into your room, oh oh ohJust feel their gentle touch (gentle touch)When all hope is goneYou know sad songs say so muchWhen all hope is goneYou know sad songs say so much

When ever little bit of hope is goneSad songs say so muchWhen ever little bit of hope is goneSad songs say so muchWhen all hope is goneSad songs say

Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word

What I got to doTo make you love me?What I got to doTo make you care? What do I doWhen lightning strikes me?And I wake to findThat you're not there?

What I got to doTo make you want me?What I got to doTo be heard? What do I say when it's all over?Sorry seems to be the hardest word

It's sad, so sadIt's a sad, sad situationAnd it's getting moreAnd more absurd

It's sad, so sadWhy can't we talk it over?Oh, it seems to meThat sorry seems to beThe hardest word

It's sad, so sadIt's a sad, sad situationAnd it's getting moreAnd more absurd

It's sad, so sadWhy can't we talk it over?Oh, it seems to meSorry seems to be the hardest word

What do I doTo make you love me? OhhWhat I got to doTo be heard? What do I doWhen lightning strikes me?

What have I got to do?What have I got to do?When sorry seems to beThe hardest word

Your Song

It's a little bit funny
This feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money, but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, ha
But then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song, and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody
This is your song
It may be quite simple, but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in the words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses, well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind
While I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting
But these things I do
You see I've forgotten, if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is, what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

And you can tell everybody
This is the song
It may be quite simple, but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in the words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in the words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

My Sweet Lord

It's a human sign
When things go wrong
When the scent of her lingers
And temptation's strong

Cold, cold heart
Hardened by you (oh)
Some things lookin' better, baby
Just passin' through (no, no, no, no, no)

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no
And this is what I should have said
Well I thought it, but I kept it hid

Cold, cold heart
Hardened by you (oh)
Some things lookin' better, baby
Just passin' through (no, no, no, no, no)

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no (no, no, no, no, no)
And this is what I should have said
Well I thought it, but I kept it hid

Cold, cold heart (oh)
Hardened by you
Some things lookin' better, baby (oh)
Just passin' through (no no, no, no, no)

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
'Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no, no, no (no, no, no, no, no)
And this is what I should have said (and I think it's gonna be a long, long time)
('Til touchdown brings me 'round again to find)
Well I thought it, but I kept it hid (I'm not the man they think I am at home)
(Oh no, no, no) (no, no, no, no, no)

Sugar (oh)
Sugar
Sugar (oh)
Sugar
(No, no, no, no, no)
