Dreams

Now here you go againYou say you want your freedomWell, who am I to keep you down? It's only right that you shouldPlay the way you feel itBut listen carefullyTo the sound of your loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you madIn the stillness of remembering what you hadAnd what you lostAnd what you hadAnd what you lost

Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin'Players only love you when they're playin'Say women, they will come and they will goWhen the rain washes you clean, you'll knowYou'll know

Now here I go againI see the crystal visionsI keep my visions to myselfIt's only me who wants to wrap around your dreamsAnd have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Dreams of loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you madIn the stillness of remembering what you hadAnd what you lostAnd what you hadOoh, what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's rainin'Players only love you when they're playin'Women, they will come and they will goWhen the rain washes you clean, you'll knowOh, thunder only happens when it's rainin'Players only love you when they're playin'Say women, they will come and they will goWhen the rain washes you clean, you'll knowYou'll knowYou will knowOh, you'll know

Knockin' on Heaven's Door

Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door de Bob Dylan.

Ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh

Mama, take this badge off of me
I can't use it anymore
It's gettin' dark, too dark to see
I feel I'm knockin' upon heaven's door

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Mama, put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore
That long black cloud is comin' down
I feel I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door
Knock, knock, knockin' on heaven's door

Ooh-ooh-ooh

Love & hate

Standing nowCalling all the people here to see the showCalling for my demons now to let me goI need something, give me something wonderful

I believeShe won't take me somewhere I'm not supposed to beYou can't steal the things that God has given meNo more pain and no more shame and misery

You can't take me downYou can't break me downYou can't take me down

You can't take me downYou can't break me downYou can't take me down

Love and hateHow much more are we supposed to tolerate? Can't you see there's more to me than my mistakesSometimes I get this feeling - makes me hesitate

I believeShe won't take me somewhere I'm not supposed to beYou can't steal the things that God has given meNo more pain and no more shame and misery

You can't take me downYou can't break me downYou can't take me down

You can't break me downYou can't take me downYou can't break me down

I can see a place of troubleAnd I'm on the verge

For the love of everybodyI need something more

Now I feel some days of troubleI'm in the house of war

For the love of everybodyLook behind the wall

Standing nowCalling all the people here to see the showCalling for my demons now to let me goI need something, give me something wonderful

Not Worthy

Rollin' and a rockin' on a late nighttrying to beat the devil at a fist fightlooking for a friend in a bottle of redmaking up a word that's never been said

Waiting in line for the next finemaking up a rhyme but it don't rhymebaby, I'm a loser at this gameif you could see me now you'd be ashamed of me, be ashamed of me

Cause I'm not worthy of your loveI'm barely keeping upfeels like every single day, all I ever do is say I'm sorryI guess that i'm not worthy of your love

Every night living like a runawaytrying to make it back for the break of dayI never learn from my mistakesso much for my great escape

Put my future on the back burnergrew up fast but i'm a slow learneronly got myself to blameif you could see me now you'd be ashamed of me, so ashamed of me

Cause I'm not worthy of your loveI'm barely keeping upfeels like every single day, all I ever do is say I'm sorryI guess that I'm not worthy of your love

How could you possibly love someone like me?a fool I'll always be

And I'm not worthy of your loveI'm barely keeping upfeels like every single day, all I ever do is say I'm sorryI guess that I'm not worthy of your love

The Sounds of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friendI've come to talk with you againBecause a vision softly creepingLeft its seeds while I was sleepingAnd the vision that was planted in my brainStill remainsWithin the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked aloneNarrow streets of cobblestone'Neath the halo of a street lampI turned my collar to the cold and dampWhen my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon lightThat split the nightAnd touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I sawTen thousand people, maybe morePeople talking without speakingPeople hearing without listeningPeople writing songs that voices never shareNo one daredDisturb the sound of silence

"Fools" said I, "You do not knowSilence like a cancer growsHear my words that I might teach youTake my arms that I might reach you"But my words like silent raindrops fellAnd echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayedTo the neon god they madeAnd the sign flashed out its warningIn the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway wallsAnd tenement hallsAnd whispered in the sounds of silence"

The River

I come from down in the valleyWhere, mister, when you're youngThey bring you up to do like your daddy doneMe and Mary we met in high schoolWhen she was just seventeenWe drive out of this valleyDown to where the fields were green
We'd go down to the riverAnd into the river we'd diveOh, down to the river we'd ride

Then I got Mary pregnantAnd man, that was all she wroteAnd for my nineteenth birthdayI got a union card and a wedding coatWe went down to the courthouseAnd the judge put it all to restNo wedding day smiles, no walk down the aisleNo flowers, no wedding dress

That night we went down to the riverAnd into the river we'd diveOh, down to the river we did rideYeah, yeah

I got a job working constructionFor the Johnstown CompanyBut lately there ain't been much workOn account of the economyNow all them things that seemed so importantWell mister they vanished right into the airNow I just act like I don't rememberMary acts like she don't care

But I remember us riding in my brother's carHer body tan and wet, down at the reservoirAt night on them banks I'd lie awakeAnd pull her close just to feel each breath she'd takeNow those memories come back to haunt meThey haunt me like a curseIs a dream a lie if it don't come trueOr is it something worse
That sends me down to the riverThough I know the river is dryThat sends me down to the river tonightDown to the riverMy baby and IOh, down to the river we ride

Ooh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-oohOoh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Strawberry Moon

Riding on the back of a car I could see
Your eyes glowing in the dark

Took so long and it came too soon we
Rise and fall like a strawberry, moon

I miss the light in this town

I Walk Alone with the W in my chest they
Brace and they bruise but they don't quite confess

Came back early in the late
Afternoon just to find the fire was blue

I miss the Li
So tell me how long will you wait
Something real is going to come your way
How can every step just take you halfway
Forever
Out on know the score
Somewhere between these distance shores
Maybe we just can't afford how we live
Together

One out the window one in your ear
And the one in your heart just disappear
I miss the life

Tell me how well you were
Something real is going to come your way
I can never step to take you
Halfway
Forever
And I know the score
Somewhere between these distance shore
Maybe we just can't afford our we live
Together
Together
Together

A Song for You

I've been so many places in my life and timeI've sung a lot of songsI've made some bad rhymesI've acted out my life in stagesWith ten thousand people watching

But we're alone nowAnd I'm singing this song to you

I know your image of meIs what I hoped to beI treated you unkindlyBut darling, can't you see? There's no one more important to meTo darling, can't you please see through me?

'Cause we're alone nowAnd I'm singing this song to you

Me taught me precious secretsOf a true love withholding nothingYou came out in front when I was hidingNow I'm so much betterAnd if my words don't come togetherTo Listen to the melodyFor my love is in there hiding

I love you in a placeWhere there's no space or timeI love you for my lifeYou're a friend of mineAnd when my life is overRemember when we were together

We were aloneAnd I was singing this song to you

Me taught me precious secretsOf a true love withholding nothingYou came out in front when I was hidingNow I'm so much betterAnd if my words don't come togetherTo Listen to the melodyFor my love is in there hiding

I love you in a placeWhere there's no space or timeI love you for my lifeYou're a friend of mineAnd when my life is overRemember when we were together

We were aloneAnd I was singing my song to youWe were aloneAnd I was singing my song to you
