Better Man es una de esas canciones que te abrazan el alma. Aparece originalmente en el álbum Caustic Love del cantautor escocés Paolo Nutini y que se publicó en 2014.

La canción en si es una maravilla de tema, pero si hay una versión que de verdad te llega al alma, es la versión acústica que fue grabada en el Café De La Danse de París poco después y es en este formato acústico, sin adornos, donde la canción se vuelve todavía más poderosa, donde Paolo se muestra completamente abierto, vulnerable, cantando desde lo más profundo con esa voz inconfundible que te traspasa los sentidos.

Die With A Smile es una maravillosa canción que nos regalan en este agosto de 2024 el gran Bruno Mars junto a la inmensa Lady Gaga, escrita por los propios artistas en colaboración con Andrew Watt, D'Mile y James Fauntleroy. Esta balada, que estoy segura se va a convertir por derecho propio en un dueto que pasará a la historia de la música, combina la nostalgia de las décadas de los 50 y 60 con una mezcla de soul y pop actual. Gaga al piano y Mars a la guitarra, exhiben todo su talento en una canción que explora la búsqueda de la felicidad y paz en tiempos difíciles, y en el anhelo de compartir los últimos momentos de la vida con una persona especial para nosotros.

Tanto en la portada del tema como en el videoclip ambos artistas aparecen con atuendos inspirados en un estilo vintage que rinde homenaje a la cantante y actriz italiana Loredana Bertè y el cantante italiano Al Bano.

Esta es la primera colaboración entre Gaga y Mars, quienes han unido su creatividad y talento para dar vida a esta grandísima canción llena de magia y talento, donde sus voces, composiciones y musicalidad, nos llevan a soñar en que vuelvan a unirse en un futuro, y a poder ser... muy próximo.

Under the Broadwalk

Under the Broadwalk es una canción escrita por Kenny Young y Arthur Resnick y grabada en 1964 por el grupo vocal estadounidense The Drifters. La canción entro al nº 4 de la lista Billboard Hot 100 ese mismo año y a lo largo del tiempo ha tenido muchísimas versiones de artistas como Bette Midler, Sam & Dave, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, John Mellencamp y Lynn Anderson, entre otros.

El tema estaba previsto que se grabase el 21 de mayo de 1964, pero el cantante principal de la banda, Rudy Lewis, quien sustituyó en 1960 a Ben E. King tras su marcha del grupo, murió la noche anterior. En lugar de posponer la grabación del tema para otro momento, se le dio la oportunidad de interpretar como voz principal a otro de los miembros de la banda, a Johnny Moore que había regresado a la banda en abril de ese mismo año.

Ese mismo 1964, The Rolling Stones realizó una versión de la canción original que se lanzó solamente en Australia, Sudáfrica y Rhodesia llegando a las primeras posiciones con el tema e incluyéndose en dos álbumes de la banda que llevaron por título 12x5 y The Rolling Stones No. 2. En 2007 apareció dentro del álbum Rhythms del Mundo: Classics.
