It´s My Life es una canción de la banda estadounidense Bon Jovi, lanzada en 2000 como sencillo de su álbum Crush y que fue escrita por Jon Bon Jovi (vocalista), Richie Sambora (guitarrista) y el compositor y productor musical Max Martin.

El tema es uno de los "himnos de la banda rock y se ha convertido en su canción más exitosa. Fue nominada en los Grammy a la Mejor Canción Rock y a los European Music Awards a la Mejor Canción.

Comptine d'un autre été: L'Après-midi

Comptine d´un autre été: L´Après-midi es una maravillosa composición para piano del músico y compositor francés Yann Tiersen para la película francesa de 2001 Amélie (Le fabuleux destin d´Amélie Poulain) de Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

La banda sonora de Jeunet consiguió ganar en 2002 el César a la Mejor Música escrita para una Película y vendió más de un millón de copias en todo el mundo.

Luz de luna

Luz de luna es una canción del compositor y cantante mexicano Álvaro Carrillo y que escribió en la celda de la Escuela Nacional de Agricultura donde el estudiante y compositor fue recluido por desacatar una petición del director. Sentado en la celda y con gran nostalgia, vio el fulgor de la luna desde la ventana y se acordó de una chica a la que conoció pero a la que sentía que no volvería a ver y le escribió la letra de esta preciosa canción.

El tema ha tenido numerosas versiones, entre las que destacan la que hizo Chavela Vargas y como no, mi adorada y admirada Rocío Dúrcal.

En 2010 se le hizo un disco homenaje a Rocío en forma de duetos (algunos de ellos realizados en vida de la Dúrcal y otros realizados digitalmente) que llevó por título Una estrella en el cielo, y uno de esos duetos fue el de Luz de luna realizado junto a Manolo García.

All Along The Watchtower

All Along The Watchtower es una canción escrita por el cantante estadounidense Bob Dylan y que pertenece a su álbum de 1967 que llevó por título John Wesley Harding, siendo el tema que más veces ha tocado en directo... en 2018 lo había hecho en más de 2.200 ocasiones. El tema lo ha lanzado en 4 versiones diferentes en vivo dentro de los álbumes Before the Flood de 1974, en el de Bob Dylan at Budokan de 1978, en el de Dylan & The Dead de 1989 y en el de MTV Unplugged de 1995.

A lo largo de los años ha tenido numerosas versiones, pero una de las más conocidas y aclamadas es la que 6 meses después de publicarse el tema original, realizó el guitarrista y cantante estadounidense Jimi Hendrix para su álbum Electric Ladyland.

Otras de algunas de la versiones más conocidas son las que en su momento hicieron U2, la que hizo Neil Young en un concierto homenaje a Dylan y en 2021 el dúo estadounidense Striking Matches hace una particular y preciosa versión del tema de Dylan.

Somebody That I Used To Know es una canción del cantante y compositor australiano Gotye que fue lanzado como segundo sencillo de su álbum de 2011 que llevó por título Making Mirrors y que fue un exitazo en diferentes países del mundo tanto a nivel de crítica como de público.

Gotye fue demandado por plagio después de que algunos expertos señalaran el gran parecido con la canción Seville del compositor brasileño Luiz Bonfá. En 2013 el cantante australiano admitió haber plagiado parte de la canción de Bonfá, llegando a un acuerdo con los herederos del músico brasileño para cederles el 45% de los beneficios de la canción, además de tener que pagarles cerca de 1 millón de dólares.

Ha tenido diversas versiones y entre las que más me gustan está la que en 2021 ha hecho con motivo del décimo aniversario de la canción, la cantante neozelandesa BENEE para Amazon Music, en la que ralentiza la melodía y le da su sello tan personal.
