Singin' in the Rain

Singin' in the Rain es una maravillosa canción escrita en 1929 por el letrista estadounidense Arthur Freed y compuesta por Nacio Herb Brown que aparece por vez primera en la revista de Broadway The Hollywood Music Box Revue, siendo Doris Eaton Travis la primera artista en interpretarla.

Pero en 1952 llegan Stanley Donen y Gene Kelly dirigiendo una película con el mismo título que la canción y protagonizada por el propio Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor y Debbie Reynolds y consiguen convertirla en un clásico, al igual que la escena en la película, logrando que con solo sonar las primeras notas, ya nos imaginemos a Gene Kelly cantándola y bailando en una noche lluviosa chapoteando en los charcos, mientras es inmensamente feliz al sentirse enamorado.

Ha tenido muchas versiones, entre las que se pueden destacar la que en 1940 realizó Judy Garland para la película musical Little Nellie Kelly dirigida por Norman Taurog, una adaptación a la pantalla grande del musical del mismo nombre, la que en 2009 hace Jamie Cullum en Hong Kong mezclándola con Umbrella, la canción de Rihanna o la que en 2013 realiza en televisión Robbie Williams, entre otras muchas versiones.

Stay es una preciosa canción de la cantante barbadense Rihanna que aparece dentro de su álbum de 2012 que llevó por título Unapologetic y que cuenta con la colaboración del cantante estadounidense Mikky Ekko. Realmente, el tema fue co-escrito por el propio Mikky junto a Justin Parker y fue lanzada como segundo sencillo de Rihanna.

La canción tuvo una gran acogida en cuanto a ventas y consiguió un gran éxito mundial, llegando a estar en las primeras posiciones de las listas musicales de numerosos países.

Love on the Brain es una impresionante balada interpretada por Rihanna en su octavo álbum de estudio que fue lanzado en 2016 bajo el título de Anti y que tienen unos ritmos inspirados en la música soul de los años 50 y 60. El tema fue escrito por el cantautor y productor noruego Fred Ball junto al compositor estadounidense Joseph Angel. La canción es una de los mejores temas de Rihanna, la modulación de su voz, los giros que hace a lo largo de toda la melodía, como juega con ella... te cala tan profundamente que es imposible dejar de escucharla.

Stay es una canción que originalmente es de la cantante Rihanna y fue compuesta por Mikky Ekko y Justin Parker, pero en esta versión la canción suena a través de la voz del cantante, compositor, productor y músico británico Shaun Reynolds, que se hizo conocido por las versiones de canciones que colgaba en su canal de Youtube, junto a la de Laura Pringle. La canción por si sóla, es maravillosa, pero probablemente estemos, ante la mejor versión que se ha hecho de ella.
