Walk of Life es una canción de la band británica Dire Straits, incluida en su álbum de 1985 que llevó por título Bothers in Arms y que se convirtió en un gran éxito en las listas británicas.
El tema, compuesto por el líder de la banda Mark Knopfler es un homenaje al cantante estadounidense Johnny Mathis y consiguió llegar al TOP 10 en distintos países a lo largo del mundo.
Quien se lo iba a decir, al productor de la banda, Neil Dorfsman, que la rechazó en un principio, por considerar que la canción no estaba a la altura del resto de canciones que conformaban el álbum. Finalmente se incluyó, ante la insistencia de los miembros de Dire Straits, consiguiendo el mayor éxito con este tema en el Reino Unido, llegando a la posición Nº 2, en las listas musicales británicas.
