Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells es una de las canciones más conocidas y cantadas en todo el mundo. Fue escrita por el compositor estadounidense James Pierpont con el título de One Horse Open Sleigh y lanzada por primera vez en 1857. En 1859 fue nuevamente lanzada pero en esta ocasión con el título de Jingle Bells, or the One Horse Open Sleigh. Aunque es una canción que forma parte del cancionero navideño siendo ya un clásico de todos los discos de navidad, realmente no es una canción navideña y trata sobre carreras de caballos. Como anécdota comentar, que la canción fue la primera que se transmitió desde el espacio en 1965. Se han hecho de ella innumerables versiones por todos los rincones del mundo y en todos los idiomas, pero si hay una que me gusta por encima de las demás es a que hace Michael Bublé junto a The Puppini Sisters que salió en el álbum del cantante canadiense en 2012 que lleva por nombre Christmas, aunque también hay una maravillosa versión interpretada por el gran Frank Sinatra que apareció por vez primera en 1948 en el álbum Christmas Songs by Sinatra.
