No Other Love

Esta maravillosa canción cantada por Jo Stafford y que aparece en la banda sonora de la película Carol consigue transmitir todas las emociones que revolotean alrededor de esta gran historia de amor.

La canción la escribió Bob Russell en 1950 y aunque la música se le atribuye a Paul Weston, en realidad deriva del Estudio Nº3 en Mi, op. 10 de Fréderic Chopin. La versión grabada por Jo Stafford (mujer de Weston) junto a la orquesta del propio Paul Weston, alcanzó el puesto nº 8 en las listas Billboard de 1950.

Fantástica banda sonora la de Forrest Gump en la que aparte de las grandes canciones que recorren la historia de la música de los años 50 a los 70, nos encontramos con un maravilloso tema central compuesto por Alan Silvestri que ya forma parte de nuestra memoria musical y cinematográfica. Against The Wind es una fantástica canción de 1980 de Bob Seger que de vez en cuando mi alma necesita escucharla mientras las notas del piano se quedan atrapadas en mi corazón y no puedo dejar de cantarla.

Tras las voces que le hacen el coro a Bob Seger están Glenn Frey, Don Henley y Timothy B. Schmit, que forman parte de mis admirados Eagles.
