That´ll Be the Day es una canción que fue escrita por Buddy Holly, Jerry Allison y Norman Petty, inspirada en una frase que repite en varias ocasiones el personaje que interpreta John Wayne en la película Centauros del desierto. Aunque ha sido interpretada por distintos artistas, esta versión del propio Buddy Holly con su guitarra dándole un sonido inconfundible, que fue grabada primeramente en 1956 pero no fue lanzada hasta 1957, hacen de esta canción una de las mejores del Rock and Roll.
